Real Estate featured a rod blog 150x150 A Rod Drops Price a Third Time photoMaybe if a buyer waits long enough, A-Rod’s Coral Gables home will just be given away — just pay the $161,000/year in taxes.

For a third time since listing it for sale in October of 2008, Yankee superstar Alex Rodriguez has dropped the price on his Coral Gables home, according to the South Florida Business Journal. A-Rod’s house is located at 181 E Sunrise, Ave, Coral Gables, FL.

This latest drop went from $11 million to $9,999,999.

Here’s the timeline:

  • Purchased home in December 2004 for $12 million
  • Listed it for sale in October 2008 for $14,876,000
  • Dropped price in February 2009 to $12.3 million
  • Dropped price in June 2009 to $11,000,000
  • Dropped price in July 2009 to $9,999,999

Since A-Rod’s divorce was finalized in February, he has been romantically linked to Madonna and now, Kate Hudson.

Real Estate news jay buhner 2 Former Mariners Star Jay Buhner Drops Price on Seattle Area Home photoFormer Seattle Mariners star Jay Buhner, the “Bad to the Bone” outfielder known for his  signature bald head and goatee, was looking to hit a real estate home run, but maybe that is now turning into a triple. Back in November 2008, Zillow first reported that Buhner put his Seattle-area home on the market for $12 million. Today, we got wind that the property has been reduced to $9,999,999.

Buhner’s lodge-like Northwest compound sits on 80 acres and includes a long list of luxurious extras such as a guest home, horse facilities, red barn, entry gate, and pavilion. A longtime Northwest resident, the Buhner family (wife Leah + 3 kids) also formerly lived at 5411 247th Pl SE, Issaquah, WA until they sold the home in 2002.

If you’re interested in some other, current Mariners’ real estate, take a look at Seattle Mariners’ superstar Ichiro Suzuki’s home located at 4409 164th Ln SE, Issaquah  WA 98027. The property has been on Zillow since March 2009 and is listed for sale at $1,750,000. Quite a bargain, compared to Buhner’s!
